This competition is open to all junior school pupils (years 3, 4, 5 and 6). The children are encouraged to design an eco-friendly garden in line with the 2017 show theme of ‘The Curious Garden’ incorporating the use of plants, colours, recycled materials and a lot of imagination.

Two winning designs will be chosen and built into ‘real’ gardens for the show by Myerscough College’s work-based apprentices.

The two winning schools will win £500 for their grounds and each winning designer will receive £50. There will also be 10 runners up, each of whom receives a certificate and £50 for their school grounds.

All winners and runners up will be invited the show.
